June
12: Jack and I will be touching base soon on next steps.
Unfortunately, life and schedules have conspired against us
for a few weeks. Hopefully, we'll be back on track soon.

May
12: Eleven tracks have been sent to Jack Petracek for review
prior to our final mix and mastering. We start that process
next month. In the meantime, I'm working on package design,
song order, ect. More details soon.

April
9: I'm pleased to report that 11 tracks and fully recorded
and 98% mixed. I'll be working with Jack Petracek
within a few weeks to tweak any mix issues and then master.
I've not yet decided whether I will include my three previously
unreleased songs. Either way, I should have a finished package
by mid-summer. Updates coming soon.

21: I have the ADATs for all of my previous sessions.
If I can find the session notes, I will be able to quickly review
the sessions to see if the previously unreleased tracks can
be salvaged. If all goes well, I could add 3-5 unreleased
and/or remixed tracks to the CD project.

18: Wild hair... I have three previously unreleased tracks
from other sessions that I'm considering remixing and adding
to the project. We'll see...
|
March
15: After a critical listen, I decided that there are three
tracks to be added to three different songs to complete
the project. I know, I know, will there ever be an end? I'm
hoping to complete these tracks next week and mix immediately
afterwards.

7: We have one, maybe two mixing sessions left and
then the CD will be done. I'll be working on song order, credits,
a title, and packaging over the next few months. I hope to have
something ready to go by summer.

16: Completed the final recording session!

January
24: One last recording session on this Wednesday
evening. We've done some preliminary mixing, so another 2-3
sessions to mix should mark the end of the process. Jack
Petracek, who ran sound for us at the Sheldon, will be mastering
the project sometime in late Feb or early March. With luck,
we'll have a CD before summer!

13: What a wonderful time last night at the Sheldon! Prairie
Soul played a set followed by our friends, Salt
of the Earth. Very nice and enthusiastic crowd! Great sound
support provided by Jack Petracek! Even better, we've
been invited back for this fall. Details soon.
